2018 Annual Walk, 5K and Village
What a great day! Beautiful weather, Beautiful people. NAMI Davidson Co. would like to thank everyone who came out or supported the 6th Annual NAMI Davidson Walk, 5K & Village. Nearly 800 people registered to walk, run or donate with over 600 joining us at Shelby Park in East Nashville. Special thanks to Sen. Jeff Yarbro for addressing our attendees and proclaiming our walk start.
Vanderbilt Behavioral Health was again our Premier Sponsor. CEO Jameson Norton shared our own sentiments for the gratitude of this partnership that extends well beyond our annual walk event. Sponsors, listed below, form the foundation for our fundraising for our annual event. Teams led by the Team MHC (Mental Health Cooperative), Team Vanderbilt and our top ever Family and Friends Team, Cash for Cush, provide us with most of the balance after sponsors. All were stellar in this year’s efforts.
NAMI Davidson Co. would like to give a big SHOUT OUT to the Team Captains, Blue-Shirted Event Day Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Red-Shirted Walk Committee members.
BIG THANKS, too, to our entertainers Abby Burke and the Soul Catchers,Charissa Mrowka, Debbie and Wayne Dickinson and Constance from Southern Word.
Kroger on McGavock Pike provided all our water and Publix pitched in with food. Papa Johns in Inglewood donated 20 pizzas. Many thanks to all!
It was a day for the dogs. Our Pals With Paws showed up in record numbers. Over 65 dogs brought their owners to share the morning with us. They came in all shapes and sizes. Rio the Superdog of East C.A.N. led off the walk.
